KIDS CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
It’s a Christmas Play/Program! You may join at any time through the end of October, but the later you join, the less likely for your child to have a solo/speaking part. There is no minimum age to participate, however, it is VERY helpful for your child to be able to sit, listen and sing along during the rehearsal. Being able to read is super helpful, but many of the songs are "typical" Christmas songs they may already know. I would prefer to say the minimum age is Kindergarten/1st grade, but again, you all know your kids best and what they can handle! No age limit for the older kids!
Rehearsal schedule, 4-5pm: August 30th, September 13th, September 27th, October 11th, October 25th, November 8th, November 22nd
North Metro Baptist Church
Friday, 12/9/22 @ 7 PM
Come out and support your friends as they perform!
Cost will be $10 per child to be "signed up". Please use the CCH Zelle information to pay. Send to: [email protected]
or you can send a check to our Treasurer:
Cheryl Vanderpool
4319 Mantova Drive
Buford GA 30519
Just mark on it that it's for the Christmas Program, names and ages.
You MUST make note on the payment (Zelle or Check) that it is for CCH Christmas Show and the names/ages of your children! This payment will be your registration. No refunds will be given after August 20th.

August 2022 Prayer Requests
- Erin Smith lost two close friends recently, and her husband Owen’s grandmother died last Friday. She also found out that her best friend and mom are both having potentially serious cancer type illnesses. She is at the end of her rope emotionally, trying to support Owen, and help her best friend and mom.
Erin Smith, who’s organizing this event, is looking for families who would be interested in building/creating some props/set pieces for the Christmas show. These can be as complex or simple as you want, and we won't need them until November, so there's plenty of time to brainstorm. If you are interested, let me know so I can make note of what's being handled! Here's the list, and I may have more as we get closer to the show, most important are at the top of the list! If you have questions, let me know!
Star of Bethlehem - a star that can hang on a pole/fishing rod so a child can hold it - so lightweight
Wisemen's gifts - Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh
Manger for baby Jesus
Stable/Inn Standup/backdrop

I can't wait to hear your kids at auditions (Sept. 13th). Remember, if they want a solo, they will need to sing the first verse of When We Seek Him (Tiffany posted the link to the video in the FB group, it can also be searched in YouTube easily, and is included on the links above). I ask that parents help us manage expectations ahead of time. If your child really wants a particular part, please let me know via email or DM and we will take it into consideration. This is not a guarantee, but we like to know what they are interested in so we can place them in a role they will be happy and excited to perform.
Here is a list of the current available parts - some may be combined or split up depending on how auditions go, but it will give you an idea of what we are looking for!
Non Speaking Characters-
Shepherds
Sheep (3,4,5 year olds)
Angels
Mary (could be a speaking part)
Joseph
Speaking Characters-
Narrators
Shepherd
Poem "One Solitary Life"
Singing Characters/ Soloists-
Angel (Handel's Messiah "And the Angel Said...")
Innkeeper (All I Have)
3 Wisemen (We Three Kings)
Multiple Solos in When We Seek Him
For the Sept 13th Rehearsal, if you would like to audition for a SPEAKING part, please sit in the front row. I will be having everyone read from the script during the rehearsal period.
For singers/soloists - please be prepared to sing the first verse of When We Seek Him. We will hold these auditions the last 15 minutes of rehearsal. ALL soloists will audition with the same verse.
For anyone interested in the POEM, please stick around after rehearsal and I will have you read it for me. This should only take a few minutes. If you are unable to stay, please let me know ahead of time so we can possibly come in early.
Please don't forget to reply "going" to the next rehearsal if you are on Facebook. If there are questions, updates, etc, they will be posted there first!

Grab a CCH T-Shirt for you and your kids!
Pay through Zelle or send a check to Cheryl Vanderpool (4319 Mantova Dr, Buford, GA 30519). Access Zelle through your online banking, or through the Zelle app, and send funds to [email protected]. Enter "CCH T-shirt" as the reason for payment. Due to increased artwork costs, we aren't able to offer anything smaller than a youth medium. If you'd like a smaller size for younger children, you have permission to take the artwork to a t-shirt company of your choice (such as big frog) and they have a process called direct to garment on a smaller sized item of your choice. |
